Unlike many dresses which are worn repeatedly, wedding gowns are often worn only once. As a seamstress who spent decades creating wedding gowns, it always seemed a bit sad to know they'll probably only be worn for one day. Luckily, I enjoy the challenge of upcycling vintage dresses, including wedding gowns.

It's fun to redesign these vintage/once worn beauties. This dress is the result of an upcycled, pre-owned beauty, originally designed by Adrianna Pappel. The original dress was very simple with no trim.

To give it a new look, I added rows of pleated tulle to the neckline and hem, with some additional Venise lace, pearl-trimmed flowers. There is a waistline seam at the waist which could be embellished with some ribbon or rhinestone trim. Bust: 42 Waist: 34 Hip: 46 Shoulder to waist: 15 Waist to hem: 42 The dress is a comfortable 8-10.

A wonderful way to repurpose a pre-owned dress.
